Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Tom J., Tom B., and I dug up and replaced the cellar drain from my parents house. We tried in vain to snake it out, but it was just plugged. Without the drain, the basement fills with water, a sump pump runs year round. It was about 6 feet underground, it was a major job, but after 3 days we pretty much had it done. We ran into the old septic tank in the process, luckily it has not been used in many years, the water in it was gross, but we removed it and moved on.
